Iraqi resistance continues to fight American forces until they are cleared from region
[08/ December/2023]
SANA'A December 08. 2023 (Saba)-In response to the United States of America’s support for the Zionist enemy entity in its brutal and barbaric aggression against Gaza Strip, and after the latter resumed committing crimes against unarmed civilians, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to target the American occupation bases in Syria and northern Iraq until they are wiped out of the region.

Since last October 17, American military bases in Iraq and Syria have been subjected to major missile and drone attacks by the Iraqi resistance.

In recent weeks, it has become common for the "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" to take the lead in escalation with American forces in both Iraq and Syria.

A Pentagon official revealed in a statement to Al-Mayadeen that American forces and international coalition forces have been subjected to at least 76 attacks in Iraq and Syria since last October 17.

The American official confirmed that the attacks were by drones and short-range ballistic missiles, with 36 attacks in Iraq and 40 attacks in Syria.

The Iraqi resistance recently announced the targeting of a base for the American forces in the Green Village deep in Syria and “Ain al-Assad” base in western Iraq. It also targeted the American “Kharab al-Jir” airport base in the northern countryside of Hasakah, in the second targeting, after the Zionist enemy resumed its aggression against Gaza Strip. .

In this context, concerns arise about the survival of American forces in these two countries, which was expressed by the American magazine (The American Conservative), which confirmed that American forces are risking their lives “unnecessarily” due to political paralysis and lack of political courage.

In an article entitled “Our National Shame in Iraq and Syria,” the American magazine stressed that these forces are present in Iraq and Syria as part of a “self-destructive combat operation.”

At the beginning of 2020, the Iraqi parliament voted on a resolution obligating the government to work to remove American, foreign forces from Iraq, and Baghdad has been seeking since that time to arrange the exit of American forces during the dialogue.

It was also agreed between the Iraqi and American forces to schedule the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq and to remove Iraq from Chapter Seven, but it faced strong opposition as it faced difficulty in approving it and difficulty in passing and reading it in the Iraqi Parliament.

At the end of last week, the Iraqi Parliamentary Rights Bloc renewed its rejection of the presence of any foreign or American forces on Iraqi soil, stressing that its position is firm to achieve national sovereignty.

The representative of the bloc, Mohsen Al-Saeedi, said in an interview with Iraqi “Al-Ma’louma” Agency: “The American forces are still using Iraqi airspace in order to target our security services, and this is a dangerous indicator.” He added: “His bloc rejects the presence of the American occupation after liberating all Iraqi lands from the clutches of ISIS.” terrorist under any pretext.

He pointed out that "Iraq does not need any foreign or American forces in any way," stressing "the necessity of removing American forces to achieve full national sovereignty."

A member of the State of Law coalition, Abbas al-Maliki, had confirmed, in a statement to the Iraqi “Al-Ma’louma” Agency, the success of the resistance axis in thwarting the plans of the Zionist enemy entity and America in the region.

Observers confirm that the “Islamic Resistance” in Iraq has recently claimed dozens of attacks against Iraqi bases hosting American soldiers, or American bases in Deir ez-Zor and Al-Hasakah in Syria, and this resistance is in fact a front for large factions, most notably the Iraqi Hezbollah, Nujaba Movement, and the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades. And the Imam Ali Brigades, and these four factions are the most active in targeting American bases and interests in the region.

It is noteworthy that about 2,500 American soldiers are stationed in Iraq and about 900 soldiers in Syria.

It is also noteworthy that seven American bases in Iraq were closed during the recent period, and that the American presence is currently limited to Ain al-Asad base in Anbar Governorate (western Iraq) and the Harir base in Erbil in the Kurdistan region.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to target American bases in Syria and Iraq, including: Ain al-Asad, Al-Tanf, Al-Harir, Koniko, Al-Omar oil field, and Kharab Al-Jir, in light of the continued Zionist aggression, with American support, on the Gaza Strip until these forces are swept from the region.

It is worth noting that this is the first time that this ammunition has been used against American forces since the wave of attacks began last October 17, and most of these attacks were claimed by the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq,” in statements on accounts on the Telegram application, and the increase in the frequency of attacks against American forces in The Middle East with the Zionist aggression on Gaza Strip.
