SANA'A December 07. 2023 (Saba)- The Traffic Police announced the start of preparations to implement advanced electronic monitor system project, through which traffic violations will be monitored electronically.
The traffic police explained in a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the project comes within the major transformational projects included in the traffic police development plan and its implementation mechanism approved by his Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, head of the Supreme Political Council.
It indicated that the Rased system is an automated system for controlling and managing traffic movement using electronic systems that will cover the Capital Municipality as a first stage, as it includes a network of digital cameras connected to the command and control center of the General Traffic Department, and through it, violations will be monitored and traffic movement will be managed electronically without any human intervention, pointing out that the system Currently in the field trial phase.
The statement stressed that project reflects the Traffic Police's commitment to applying technology to alleviate congestion , improve traffic services and road safety.
