GENEVA November 20. 2023 (Saba) - The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, confirmed on Monday that he was “terrified” by the attack on the Indonesian hospital in Gaza, which led to the death of 12 people, including patients.
Ghebreyesus wrote in a blog post on the “X” platform, saying: “Health workers and civilians should never be exposed to such horror, especially while they are inside the hospital.”
12 wounded people and their companions were martyred, and a medical staff was injured as a result of the Zionist enemy’s targeting of the Indonesian hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Enemy army tanks continue to penetrate the hospital's surroundings and fire shells and bullets towards the hospital and its surroundings.
The director of the surgery department at the Indonesian Hospital, Muhammad Al-Ram, announced that the enemy army targeted the hospital with a shell that hit the second floor without warning, and from time to time it opened fire on the windows and gates of the hospital, in addition to random bombing.
Medical sources reported that a woman present in the Indonesian hospital was killed as a result of direct bombardment by Zionist tanks that targeted the second floor of the hospital.
The head of the hospital's orthopedic department, Doctor Adnan Al-Barsh, was also injured in the bombing, which led to a number of deaths and injuries.
The enemy army also targeted the Kuwait School, adjacent to the Indonesian Hospital, which houses thousands of displaced people.
