TEHRAN October 28. 2023 (Saba) - The Iranian army announced today, Saturday, that the field test of the Heydar cruise missile was successfully carried out using a 214 helicopter during its ground maneuvers.

Tasnim International News Agency reported that the field test of the "Haider" cruise missile was successfully carried out using a 214 helicopter during the Iranian army's ground maneuvers.

For the first time, the "Haider Cruise" missiles, a locally manufactured "air-to-surface" guided missile, were successfully tested using the 214 combat helicopter, hitting their targets 30 km away with accuracy.

The Haider cruise has a GPS guidance system, and after launching the missile, the pilot has complete control over its continued movement towards the target.

The length of the Haidar missile is three meters and 830 cm and its weight is approximately 40 kg. This missile, which carries a warhead weighing more than 20 kilograms, is capable of destroying fixed and moving targets with a range of more than 200 kilometers.

It is worth noting that the ground forces of the Iranian army, yesterday, Friday, began maneuvers in Isfahan Province, which will last for two days, and various armored, infantry, and mobile assault units, rapid missile reaction forces, helicopter and drone forces, engineering units, and support units participate in the maneuvers.
