Former Bolivian president calls for severing ties with Zionist enemy

LA PAZ October 23. 2023 (Saba) - Former President of Bolivia Evo Morales has called on his country's government to sever ties with the Zionist enemy and declare it a "terrorist entity," against the backdrop of the massacres it commits in occupied Palestine and its continuous raids on the Gaza Strip.

“When we came to government after winning the elections in December 2005, we severed our relations with Israel as a result of our peaceful and anti-imperialist principles,” Morales said, according to what al-Mayadeen reported.

Morales recalled that after the November 2019 coup, which was supported by the United States of America, Bolivia restored relations with “Israel” “in implementation of the empire’s orders.”

Morales asked the current Bolivian government, in addition to severing relations with Israel, to clearly and firmly condemn the massacres and genocide against the Palestinian people.

He continued saying “Whoever does not reject genocide is an accomplice, and such genocide cannot be accepted in Palestine.”

The former Bolivian president stressed that Israel must be declared a terrorist state.

It is noteworthy that, with the launch of Operation “al-Aqsa Flood,” Morales condemned the Bolivian Foreign Ministry’s statement for not clearly condemning the Zionist massacres in Gaza.

Morales posted a picture of a Palestinian carrying the Palestinian flag, standing on a Zionist tank whose occupants had been captured by the resistance, and wrote: “I regret that the statement of the Bolivian Foreign Ministry does not condemn, in a politically coherent manner, the real situation that the Palestinian people are going through.”

He said "We condemn, from Bolivia, the imperialist and colonial practices of the Zionist government."
