PYONGYANG October 04. 2023 (Saba) - North Korea vowed on Wednesday to confront the US military strategy with the most crushing and sustainable response strategy.
According to what was reported by the Korean Central News Agency today, North Korea accused America, in a statement, of raising nuclear threats, through joint military exercises with South Korea and sending a strategic nuclear submarine.
The North Korean Ministry of Defense spokesman criticized the new American strategy on combating weapons of mass destruction, describing it as a country that represents a "continuous threat."
He said: The North Korean army will confront the US military strategy with “the most crushing and sustainable response strategy,” referring to a clause added to the country’s law.
The Pentagon's unclassified version of its 2023 Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Strategy states: "North Korea, Iran, and violent extremist organizations remain persistent threats as they continue to pursue and develop WMD capabilities."
North Korean official media reported last week that Pyongyang had adopted an amendment to the constitution to formulate its policy regarding nuclear power, while the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, pledged to accelerate the production of nuclear weapons to deter what he described as provocations by the United States.
