The Zionist "Gilboa" prison is one of the enemy's most fortified prisons and is nicknamed in the Zionist enemy entity as the "Iron Vault" due to the tight procedures therein to prevent any attempt to escape from it. But the six heroes were able to decipher the code of this safe, and seized their freedom in a process that astonished the whole world.
The "Freedom Tunnel" operation is considered the first spark for the establishment of the "Jenin Battalion" by order of the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Commander Ziad al-Nakhalah. It is the battalion that carried the mission of transferring the occupied West Bank from a state of calm to a state of confrontation with the Zionist enemy in a major way. In this context, the Palestinian writer and political analyst specializing in Zionist security affairs, Hassan Lafi, considered, in an exclusive interview with the “Palestine Today” news agency, that the operation to extract freedom from “Gilboa” prison, carried out by the heroes of the Islamic Jihad movement, was a devastating blow to the enemy’s security. Lafi explained that this operation inflicted heavy losses on the occupying Zionist enemy on several important levels, both internally and internationally.
In turn, the specialist in Zionist affairs, Ayman Al-Rafati, said in an interview with the “Palestine Today” agency as well: “The Freedom Tunnel operation still has a heroic image in the history of the Palestinian people and a miracle among the miracles of the Palestinian prisoners who were able to defeat the Zionist enemy security-wise, intellectually, morally, and militarily, and made its security system The laughing stock of the world."
Al-Rafati pointed out that the process of wresting freedom continues to cast a negative shadow on the Zionist society, after it showed that the Palestinian prisoner whom the enemy wanted to break and defeat was able to face all the obstacles, guarding, and tightening security and wrest his freedom from a prison that the Zionist enemy praised as the most fortified in his being.
Despite all the Zionist crimes, the legends of the Palestinians do not end in their resistance to the brutal Zionist enemy, and they are the ones who have been and still are, every period or year, directing one blow after another to this enemy and its political, security and military leaders.
It is noteworthy that the Zionist enemy prison service came out in 2004, before the opening of Gilboa prison, boasting and boasting by saying: “The prisoners here are safer than the money in the vaults of the Bank of Israel.”
