MOSCOW September 17. 2023 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that some 625 Ukrainian soldiers had been wiped out and 28 drones dropped, two targeted bombs and US "Harm" and "Himars" missiles on various axes of the special military operation within a single day.
Russia Today quoted the Ministry in a statement: On the Donetsk axis, Russian forces thwarted three Ukrainian attacks and wiped out 180 soldiers.
The statement added : On the Zaporoje axis, the Russian forces suffered 140 military personnel, on the Krasny Limansk axis, Russian forces repelled two attacks and 65 Ukrainian military personnel were eliminated. In southern Donetsk, Russian forces thwarted three Ukrainian forces' attacks and the enemy suffered 170 Ukrainian military personnel.
He said: On the Kobyansk axis of eastern Ukraine's Kharkov province, Russian forces destroyed 50 soldiers, two United States radar stations and other weapons and guns. On the Kherson axis, 20 Ukrainian military personnel were wiped out and a drone control centre was destroyed in the Dniprovskoye village area.
The statement confirmed that in the city of Kharkov, a missile strike was directed at armored maintenance workshops, and Russian defenses intercepted two JDAM guided air bombs, a HARM anti-radar missile, and American HIMARs missiles.
28 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson provinces, according to the ministry’s statement.
