Launching free medical camp for diabetes & blood pressure in Dhamar

DHAMAR September 16. 2023 (Saba) - Member of Parliament Ali Shamar and Deputy Governor of Dhamar Governorate Muhammad Muhammad Abd al-Razzaq inaugurated on Saturday the free medical camp for diabetes and blood pressure diseases, organized by Dar al-Shifa Modern Hospital on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.

During the speech event organized by the hospital on the sidelines of the camp to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, Undersecretary Abdul Razzaq pointed out the importance of establishing such camps to alleviate the suffering of patients and provide quality services in a way that alleviates the human suffering resulting from the continued aggression and siege.

He stressed that celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday and inaugurating the free medical camp for diabetes and blood pressure embodies the close connection between Yemenis and the Holy Prophet and his example in charitable works and helping the poor and sick. He called on everyone to revive the values of social solidarity and acts of charity.

At the event, which was attended by the Director of the Health Office, Dr. Tariq Al-Khaiwani, the Director of the Health Office’s Private Facilities Department, Dr. Yousef Al-Amri, praised the initiative of Dar Al-Shifa Modern Hospital in organizing this camp, which targets a large segment of diabetics and blood pressure patients... Urging private hospitals to adopt such free camps to alleviate the suffering of patients.

In turn, the Executive Director of the hospital, Najeeb Al-Haddad, indicated that the camp comes within the hospital’s charitable work coinciding with the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, in addition to a 20 percent reduction in all medical services in all departments from the beginning of the inauguration of the camp, which will last 14 days.

He praised the efforts of the governorate leadership and the health office in supporting the hospital’s efforts in this aspect and the contribution of a number of pharmaceutical companies in providing the necessary medications for patients with diabetes and chronic blood pressure in the camp.
