Palestinian prisoners declare mobilization, open strike in prisons of Zionist enemy
[03/ September/2023]
OCCUPIED AL-QUDS Sep. 03. 2023 (Saba) - The Supreme Emergency Committee of the Palestinian National Prisoner Movement decided to launch an open hunger strike next Thursday to demand the cessation of all decisions and policies taken in order to restrict it and the conditions of it lives, as well as the return of all that was robbed of its rights during the last period.

Palestine Now agency quoted the committee during its conference on Sunday in response to the decision of the extremist "Ben Gvir", as saying "Our rights under which we live were snatched with our blood, and thousands of tons of meat in the strikes that we went through, and we did not obtain them with any grace, favor, or commitment, according to international laws, it is therefore not subject to negotiation or waiver.

It added “Disagreement has emerged among our enemy’s ranks over this decision. It is neither an acknowledgment of this right nor an acknowledgment of this achievement, but rather a disagreement over the timing and mechanism for taking it, which requires us not to be deceived by what their media reported, and requires us, the prisoners of war, and our people before us, to stand up for it.” "The face of this aggression and the readiness and preparation for this real confrontation with an enemy that lurks around us."

The agency continued "We will make this month of September a title and a month that brings together the two most sacred issues a captivity for which our people rose up twenty-three years ago, and prisoners whose people will rise up with them this year until the freedom of our prisoners is achieved."

It stressed "Our battle with this occupier is an open battle. We can hardly turn a page before opening another. Readiness and alertness are our firm choice as long as the occupation persists on our land and our chests."

The agency said “This ignorant extremist, Ben Gvir, is approaching us with a new decision that harms our most sacred sanctities and prisoners, by reducing visits to our families to once every two months, thinking that we might surrender or tire in the face of his aggression and arrogance. After the attack on our bread and water, today our mothers, wives, and children, In light of all this, we must take a position and we must take actions that match the scale of the aggression.”

Earlier in the day, the so-called extremist Zionist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, instructed the Prison Service to begin implementing the decision to reduce visits to the families of Palestinian prisoners from once a month to once every two months, in addition to preventing the early release of prisoners with light sentences from one month to three years, with the end of their sentences approaching, despite Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s denial of implementing any decisions against the prisoners except after a special cabinet session.
