TEHRAN Aug. 24. 2023 (Saba) - Secretary-General of the Institute of Iranian Public Libraries Mahdi Ramadani has said that the Iranian library network, which includes 4,000 libraries, is among the best 14 countries in the world and ranks first in the region and the Islamic world.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Ramadani in a statement at the conclusion of the summer training course for selected librarians in the country at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili as saying 100 librarians participated in the training course that lasted for three days.
He added the activities of libraries in the various geographical areas must be compatible with the conditions of those areas and the needs of their residents.
