ISLAMABAD Aug. 20. 2023 (Saba) - At least 11 people were killed on Sunday in an attack targeting a truck carrying workers in North Waziristan, northwest Pakistan.
"A group of terrorists blew up a truck that was carrying workers in the area," said Rehan Gul Khattak, deputy commissioner of North Waziristan region, according to the Pakistani channel (Geo News). He explained that the explosion killed 11 workers and seriously wounded 2.
The channel added that the wounded and bodies were taken to the hospital, noting that the dead belonged to the South Waziristan region.
This attack comes weeks after the massive suicide bombing that took place in Bajaur district, killing at least 63 people, including 23 children, and wounding more than 200.
