President Al-Mashat chairs Supreme Judicial Council meeting

SANA'A August 08. 2023 (Saba)-His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Heaf of the Supreme Political Council, chaired today a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The meeting, in the presence of a member of the Supreme Political Council - Head of the Justice and Security Sector, Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, discussed the situation of the judicial authority and the steps that have been taken, including legal amendments, automation and linking of all courts, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of justice among society.

At the meeting, the President indicated that "the best act of drawing closer to God is establishing justice among people, and we will not achieve this except by finding a fair and urgent judiciary whose impact the citizen will touch."

President Al-Mashat praised the completion of a large percentage of the cases that were submitted to the courts, despite what the judiciary faced in terms of the destruction of infrastructure following the bombing of the US-Saudi aggression, and the US-led aggression countries stopping the salaries of judges, administrators and all state employees.

He explained that despite the continuation of the American-Saudi aggression, the siege and the systematic destruction that affected the infrastructure of the judicial authority and cutting the salaries of judges, the administrative staff, and all state employees, the judges, administrators and employees sensed the national responsibility and carried out the tasks assigned to them with dedication.

He stressed the interest in selecting students of the institute who are known for their religion and faith.

The President, Al-Mashat, directed the Chairman and members of the Judicial Council to pay attention to the speedy settlement of citizens' cases, to achieve prompt justice, and to take deterrent measures against all those who fail to perform their duties, including judges and administrators.
