MOGADISHU July 25. 2023 (Saba) - At least 20 Somali soldiers were killed on Tuesday in a suicide attack targeting a training camp in the capital, Mogadishu.
The French Press Agency quoted Somali parliament member Mohamed Moalimuu as saying "The attack was launched by a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt, and targeted a military academy, which includes military volunteers," noting that it also left about 60 wounded.
He added "Investigations are still underway to confirm the circumstances of the attack, while Al-Shabab movement affiliated with Al-Qaeda terrorist organization claimed its responsibility for the attack.
It is worth noting that several areas in Somalia are witnessing terrorist operations in light of spreading groups of Al-Shabaab movement, which has caused hundreds of victims.
