BRUSSELS June 23. 2023 (Saba) - The European Union expanded its sanctions against Russian media and banned the broadcasting of five additional television channels.
The European Commission website stated in a statement that "restrictions on Russian media have been expanded by prohibiting the broadcasting of five additional channels", while the statement does not name television channels.
The European Union had approved the 11 package of sanctions against Russia.
