HAJJAJ June 10. 2023 (Saba) - A meeting in Hajjah chaired on Saturday by the Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Abdul Rahman Al-Jamie, discussed aspects related to alleviating the citizens' suffering from the high-water prices.
The meeting, which included the heads of the government committee, the governor, Hilal Al-Soufi, the Water and Environment Committee in the parlaiment, Khaled Al-Ansi, and a member of the parliament, Dr. Ahmed Nassar, reviewed the necessary treatments to overcome the difficulties and lift the citizens' suffering.
The meeting touched, in the presence of members of the government committee and directors of public works and water in the Council of Ministers, Taha Al-Mutawakel, the water reform sector, local institutions in the Ministry of Water, Zaid Al-Kahlani, and the local water corporation in Hajjah, Eng.Ameen Muglis and the director of financial affairs in the institution, Saleh Abu Kahla, the local organization in the county.
The meeting stressed the necessity of integrating efforts to find appropriate solutions and raise implementable recommendations during the coming period, in a way that supports the efforts of the Corporation and enables it to pump water and alleviate the citizens' suffering until the implementation of alternative energy projects is completed.
They pointed to the importance of reducing the price of electricity to pump water during the coming period, expanding the water network, and the speed of implementation of solar energy projects.
The meeting was attended by a member of the board of directors of the local institution in the province, Yahya Hashem Salbeh, and the deputy director of the institution, Ibrahim Saasa.
