HODEIDA June 04. 2023 (Saba) - A workshop was held in Hodeida province on mechanisms for implementing the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council regarding the implementation of community initiatives projects, organized by the local authority in the governorate in coordination with the Ministry of Local Administration.
The workshop aimed to familiarize the participants, including districts directors and members of the local authority, and representatives of the offices concerned with the initiative projects, with the standard framework of reference for implementing the initiatives in partnership with the community and local business partners, as well as introducing them to the models used and the matrix of the initiative project support program.
The workshop also aimed to train the participants to prepare a long-term implementation plan at the province level and how to determine the needs of projects in the fields of roads and water.
Deputy chief of the province Ahmed al-Bishri considered the active presence of the local and executive leaders from the various districts as a reflection of the level of responsibility and keenness to embody it in the path of construction and a serious orientation towards local development.
Al-Bishri considered the workshop to be one of the most important workshops that lay the basic building blocks for planning qualitative projects with community and local partnership for the year 1445 and setting visions for implementing field surveys to survey needs at the level of villages and cities in the province.
He stressed that everyone must mobilize efforts and energies, each one in his position and specialization in implementing the outputs and recommendations of the workshop, based on the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council in the speech he delivered during his visit to Hajjah province.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration for the Institutional and Human Development Sector Ramah Heba reviewed the objectives and importance of the workshop, which comes within the ministry's priorities for implementing the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council in preparing executive plans for the next year and supplementary plans for the current year 1444 AH.
The holding of this workshop was considered a true translation of training the participants on the aspects related to the implementation of community initiatives in partnership with the community and local development partners represented by the Ministry of Finance, the Bunyan Foundation, the Social Fund for Development, the Public Works Project and the Council for Humanitarian Affairs.
