Settlers move religious school in Homesh settlement
[29/ May/2023]
NABLUS May 29. 2023 (Saba) - Settlers moved on Monday a religious school in Homesh outpost, between Nablus and Jenin cities to a new location within the outpost aiming to bypass a judicial decision to remove it because it is on private Palestinian land.

According to the Palestinian Ma’an Agency, Haaretz newspaper said that, Minister of the Occupation Army Yoav Gallan and the Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich approved that settlers re-established the religious school in Homesh outpost in the northern West Bank, on an alternative area inside the outpost, as a step aimed at to legitimize it later.

It is noteworthy that the settlers rebuilt a religious school in the lands of Homesh settlement, vacated since 2005, in the presence of the head of the Northern Settlements Council, Yossi Dagan, after the Israeli Knesset approved the bill to cancel the law of separation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which allows the return of settlers to four dismantled settlements, namely: Homesh, Ghanem, Kadim, and Sanur, and the abolition of criminal punishment imposed on settlers who enter or reside in these four settlements built on private Palestinian lands.
