Eight Palestinians injured & six arrested during storming Jenin

JENIN May 29. 2023 (Saba)-Eight Palestinian citizens were injured by live bullets, and six others were arrested, after clashes erupted during the Zionist enemy forces’ incursion, at dawn today, Monday, into several neighborhoods of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted security sources as saying that large forces of the occupation army stormed the city from several axes, and that its snipers climbed the roofs of a number of buildings, especially in the vicinity of Jenin Governmental Hospital.

And the sources added that violent confrontations broke out between the youths and the occupation forces in separate areas of the city, during which live bullets were fired at them, injuring eight of them, one of them critically injured.

They pointed out that the occupation forces prevented ambulances from transporting the injured, and one of their vehicles rammed a life ambulance and another belonging to Al-Razi Hospital, causing them material damage.

The occupation forces sent more reinforcements to Jenin city, and raided several houses, searched them, tampered with their contents, and a house belonging to the Al-Hasis family was identified. They also arrested: Nawras Gwadrah, Hassan Tamim Hardan, Walid Aref Jalamneh and his two sons, Katiba and Suhaib, and Ibrahim Aref Hasais.

Last night, two young men were wounded by Israeli forces' bullets, and one of them was arrested, at the main street adjacent to al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah.

According to security sources, the occupation forces fired bullets directly at two young men who were near the main street, wounding them, before they arrested one of them, while the other injured was transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

The sources explained that the arrested young man is Ahmed Bashar Abu Alia (18 years old), and he was hit by live bullets in the shoulder and foot, and his condition is stable.

Health Ministry stated that the condition of the injured person, who arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex, is moderate, indicating that he was wounded in the thigh and chest.

At the same level, a number of civilians suffocated by tear gas, last night, during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in Arraba town, south of Jenin.

Security sources said that the occupation forces stormed the town, which led to clashes that resulted in the injury of a number of civilians.

In a related context, the occupation forces raided the village of Tora in Ya`bad area.
