SANA'A May 17. 2023 (Saba) -His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today, Wednesday, at the Republican Palace in Sana'a, Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, and the President of the Supreme Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies, Dr. Ali Abbas.
During the meeting, aspects related to improving the medical and treatment services provided to patients and enhancing the level of health performance during the current stage were discussed.
The meeting touched on the difficulties facing the health sector in light of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression, blockade that prevents the arrival of medicines, medical supplies and their entry into Yemen, especially medicines for patients with chronic diseases.
In the meeting, the President stressed the importance of providing the necessary facilities to provide medicines at the lowest cost and of the highest quality.
He directed work to localize the pharmaceutical industries locally and give them all facilities, stressing the importance of completing the completion of the national pharmacy in all provinces of the Republic.
President Al-Mashat stressed the interest in natural and herbal medicines.
