President Al-Mashat inaugurates solar power systems projects in Hajjah province with over 364 million Rials

SANA'A May 16. 2023 (Saba) - His Excellency Marshal al Mehdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, opened a number of projects to install solar energy systems in hospitals and health centres in the various provinces of Hajjah at a cost of 364 million and 562,000 riyals.
President Al-Mashat inaugurated solar power systems projects for the Republican Hospital Authority with a capacity of 350 kW at a cost of 158 million and 841,000 rials with funding from the Ministries of Finance and Health. And Kafal Shammar Rural Hospital with a capacity of 125 kW at a cost of 59 million and 132 thousand riyals; martyr Dr. Yasser Wathab Hospital in Khiran Governorate with a capacity of 100 kW at a cost of 45 million and 928 thousand riyals; and al-Mahabesha Hospital with a capacity of 80 kW 36 million and 499 thousand riyals funded by the Support and Development Fund for the province of Hodeida and its adjacent areas on the western coast.
His Excellency the President opened energy systems projects for the Sharaf Kuhlan Rural Hospital in a district of Mabean at 50 kW at a cost of 26 million and 499 thousand rials, al-Shahl Rural Hospital at a capacity of 30 kW at a cost of 18 million and 650,000 rials, Ku'idnah hospital with a capacity of 30 kW at a cost of 19 million and 60,000 rials with funding from the Hodeida province Support and Development Fund.
President Al-Mashat emphasized that these projects are part of the State's guidelines for alternative energy substitution in the health sector to alleviate the burden of diesel consumption.
He urged those hospitals and the health sector to maintain redoubling efforts to improve medical services and ensure their continuity to alleviate the suffering of patients in the difficult conditions experienced by the country as a result of the US-Saudi aggression and blockade.
