JAWF May 09. 2023 (Saba)- Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation - Vice Chairman of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, stressed the importance of working according to the methodology of community initiatives to achieve any agricultural renaissance.
During the workshop on preparing an executive matrix for the directives of the Revolution Leader, to reform the agricultural and developmental aspect, and to activate the development partners, in Al-Jawf, Dr. Al-Rubai pointed out the importance of the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, as a basis for agricultural policies and a reference for the launch of any agricultural development work in Yemen.
He pointed out that the agricultural sector can only be advanced by starting from these directives and translating them into executive plans and programmes. He noted the outputs of the workshop to advance the agricultural and development aspect in the province.
Al-Rubai stressed that the Ministry of Agriculture, the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, and the institutions and bodies affiliated with the agricultural sector are working in light of the directives of the Leader to advance the agricultural sector to reach self-sufficiency.
He explained that achieving an agricultural renaissance requires the concerted efforts of all and working to activate the community and partners in the field of agricultural development, in addition to activating community initiatives and paying attention to rural development to reach sustainable development. He called on the local authority in the governorate to motivate the community to move towards encouraging community initiatives in implementing service and development initiatives.
He announced the delivery of an irrigation unit with four equipment to Al-Jawf province, funded by the Ministry of Finance and the Agricultural Committee, to benefit from rainwater.
In the workshop, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture for the Irrigation Sector, Eng. Muhammad Al-Wasabi, the Undersecretary of the province, Fouad Al-Ezzi, and the representative of Bonyan Yahya Al-Zubairi Foundation, pointed out the importance of intensifying efforts and working in a team spirit to achieve the successes and goals of the agricultural revolution.
The workshop, in which 150 participants from members of the local authority in the province, executive offices, directors of directorates and agricultural offices, and representatives of agricultural cooperative societies participated, was devoted to raising awareness of the principles, policies and methodologies of sustainable development work, and introducing how to transform the directives of the leader of the revolution into practical plans according to the methodology of revolutionary development work.
The workshop came out with many outputs, most notably considering the executive matrix of the directives of the Revolution Leader as a reference for preparing an agricultural or development plan for any party, in addition to encouraging community initiatives to implement agricultural and development activities.
