SANA'A April 02. 2023 (Saba)- The Yemeni petroleum Company (YPC) has completed the first phase of the project to install the solar energy system in the company's general administration building with a capacity of 100 kilowatts.

The executive director of the company, Eng. Ammar Al-Adhrai, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the first phase of the project has been completed in the public administration, and the implementation of the second phase has begun in the company's facilities in Hodeida with a capacity of 600 kilowatts.
He pointed out that the project comes within the framework of implementing the national vision and moving to renewable energy to produce electric energy for the company's buildings, facilities and stations to benefit from it in reducing the cost of producing electric energy in the company and reducing the consumption of diesel.
Al-Adhrai also pointed out that the energy battle is one of the aspects of the conflict with the aggression that targeted power stations and energy sources, to prevent the country's renaissance, stressing the importance of moving to renewable energy and reducing dependence on fuels in electricity production.
