Human Rights Ministry issues National Guide for Documenting Aggression Crimes

SANA'A March 31. 2023 (Saba)- The Executive Unit of the National Vision at the Ministry of Human Rights issued the national guide for monitoring, documenting crimes and violations of the aggression coalition against Yemen.


The report, which was prepared for workers in the field of monitoring and documentation, aims to enable them to identify the basic mechanisms and principles of the monitoring , fact-finding process, and to document violations in light of the continuation of the aggression coalition against Yemen.
 
The guide also aims to strengthen and unify national efforts in the field of monitoring, collecting, preserving and documenting crimes of aggression as crimes against humanity that have no statute of limitations.
 
The guide relied on monitoring and documentation mechanisms on international standards adopted in this field.
 
The guide contained five main chapters that included an introductory introduction and references to the most prominent crimes and gross violations of human rights committed by the Aggression Coalition and the legal characterization of those crimes.
 
It also included basic concepts on monitoring, fact-finding, international humanitarian law, practical information and models of international crimes in violation of international humanitarian law and the statute of the International Criminal Court, as well as reports and forms on legal descriptions and documentation of crimes and violations.
 
The report is decided that this guide will be circulated to the concerned authorities and organizations to benefit from it in monitoring and documenting the crimes of aggression in Yemen.
