TEHRAN March 22. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent sanctions imposed by the European Union and Britain on Iran.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Kanaani as saying one of the goals of the recent European confrontation approach is an attempt to divert public opinion from the growing economic and social crisis and the systematic violation of human rights in Europe, which is not hidden from the eyes of global observers, referring to Internal unrest in Europe, including discontent and protests in France.
He added some European countries should act responsibly and humanely towards the real demands of the people in their lands and abandon violent behavior and suppression of protesters instead of interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
He went on saying the Islamic Republic of Iran will take countermeasures against such arbitrary, illegal and irrational actions with dexterity and strength as before, relying on its national strength and in this regard, and reserves the right to respond.”
