Jordanian parliament votes to expel Zionist ambassador from Amman
[22/ March/2023]
AMMAN March 22. 2023 (Saba) - The Jordanian Parliament called on Wednesday the Jordanian government to expel the Zionist ambassador from Amman.

The move came after the so-called Minister of Finance of the extremist Zionist enemy, Bezalel Smotrich, used a map of the Zionist entity that includes the borders of Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Jordanian media said that the Parliament voted overwhelmingly on the government's request to expel the Zionist ambassador from Jordan.

Parliament Speaker Ahmed Safadi said during a session of the parliament, "We, in the parliament, call on the government to take effective measures towards the occupation government's finance minister using a map of the so-called "Israel" that includes the borders of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the occupied Palestinian territories."

Al-Safadi considered that "this is something that cannot be tolerated, and constitutes a violation" of the peace treaty between Jordan and "Israel" signed in 1994, and of international norms.

Zionist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich spoke from a platform in Paris bearing a map of the entity that includes the borders of the Kingdom and the occupied Palestinian territories, and said: "There is no Palestinian history or culture, and there is no such thing as the Palestinian people."

The Jordanian Parliament session this morning witnessed "anger" over the statements of the Zionist Finance Minister, and they expressed their "rejection and condemnation of such statements that express the extremist Zionist thought and content."

The Jordanian Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee demanded a review of the peace agreement signed between Jordan and the Zionist entity.

The committee condemned the Zionist minister's use of a map of the Zionist entity that includes the borders of the Kingdom of Jordan and occupied Palestine.
