HAJJAH March 21. 2023 (Saba)- A meeting in Hajjah province discussed UNICEF interventions in water, health, nutrition and education sectors.
The meeting, which included the directors of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Alan Fadayel, the organization’s office in Hajjah and Hodeida hub, Abdul Jabbar Dini, and health, water, environmental sanitation and nutrition officials, reviewed UNICEF’s efforts and its contribution to covering part of the needs of the displaced and affected people, especially with regard to sustainable projects in the water, health and education sectors. .
He touched on the partnership strengthening mechanism to ensure improving the level and quality of humanitarian services to cover the great need that requires intensified advocacy by UNICEF and all humanitarian action partners.
In the meeting, Fadil stressed the necessity of continuing to provide water to the camps for the displaced in Abs district and supporting the Hajjah Water Corporation with diesel to cover the needs of the displaced and the host community, stressing the readiness of the leadership of the governorate and the Supreme Council to provide all necessary facilities.
For his part, Dini pointed out the interest that Hajjah enjoys in interventions due to the nature of the need and suffering imposed by the continuation of the current situation, stressing work to intensify advocacy efforts and work to meet urgent needs as soon as grants become available.
