SANA'A March 18. 2023 (Saba) - A meeting hold on Saturday chaired by Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Yasser Al-Wahidi, reviewed the specific weights of oil and gas tankers on the roads.
The meeting, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al Haifi, and the executive director of Yemen's Oil Company Eng. Ammar Al-Adhro'e discussed mechanisms for coordination between the Ministry and the Fund in maintaining roads and working with weights and specific cargo in order to preserve roads.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Oil and Mines confirmed the Ministry's willingness to coordinate with the Fund on the legal payloads of oil derivatives tankers.
He noted the importance of concerted and integrated efforts to maintain the road network so as not to be harmed by overloads.
Al-Wahidi urged to raise community awareness about the damage of overloads on the road network and on citizens' safety and transportation.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Road Fund touched on efforts to maintain roads and implement new road projects.
He pointed out it was important to implement the Fund's procedures to reduce the overloads that had caused the destruction of the road network.
While the CEO of the oil company confirmed that the company is working to coordinate with the fund regarding oil derivatives tankers.
