Symposium reviews US ambitions in region on 9th anniversary of aggression on Yemen
[18/ March/2023]
SANA'A March 18.2023 (Saba) - Military and media experts reviewed the American ambitions in the region during an intellectual symposium, held by the Yemeni Media Union (YMU) in Sana'a on Saturday, with the approaching 9th anniversary of the aggression against Yemen.

The symposium, in which speakers from Yemen and Lebanon took part via live video technology, shed light on the American targeting of the region's peoples and the aggression against Yemen, as well as its evidence and dimensions.

Three working papers were presented at the symposium, the first of which was presented by Brigadier General Abdullah bin Amer, Deputy Head of the Moral Guidance Department at the Ministry of Defense, and dealt with "the American occupation of eastern Yemen - objectives, risks, and the liberation equation."

The second paper by the editor-in-chief of the Lebanese Al-Binaa newspaper, Nasser Qandil, focused on "the pretexts and headlines promoted by the United States of America to justify its wars," which introduced a reading of the Yemeni experience to confront the US presence in the region.

The third paper, by the Lebanese military expert Brigadier General Amin Al-Hotait, defined the size of the American armies and bases in the region, estimating them at about 54 bases and indicating a map of their deployment, the size of those forces, and the nature of the alliances cooperating with them in this geographical area.

The papers, in their entirety, refuted the allegations of the coalition countries to justify their aggression against Yemen, considering this as part of the West's and America's efforts to control the sources of wealth in the Arab region, especially oil in Syria and Iraq, and plans to implement the American agenda in Yemen.

The symposium attendees stressed that America's efforts in the region are consistent with its goals of protecting Israel and controlling the sources of riches in Yemen and the Arab region.
