Dhamar governor discusses with ICRC humanitarian situation in province

DHAMAR February 05. 2023 (Saba) -Governor of Dhamar, Muhammad Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, discussed with the head of the sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sana'a the humanitarian situation in the province.
 
He referred to the difficult humanitarian situation in Yemen in general and the province in particular, as a result of the aggression and siege continuation, and the coalition's failure to adhere to the armistice, the payment of employees' salaries, the increase in the suffering of citizens and the displaced, and the community's needs for humanitarian and health projects.
 
Al-Bukhaiti pointed to the efforts of the province leadership in providing facilities to the organizations operating in the province, stressing the importance of strengthening coordination, communication and partnership between the local authority, the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the relevant authorities, and the Committee of the Red Cross in expanding the scope of interventions in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of society.
 
The head of the Red Cross sub-delegation in Sana'a, Fares Bashari, appreciated the cooperation and facilities provided by the leadership of Dhamar province and the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in implementing the mission's humanitarian and service projects in the province.
 
They pointed out that his visit to the province aims to see the humanitarian needs ,the necessary emergency services and to set priorities, stressing the strengthening of the committee's interventions in the province during the coming period.
