Revolution Leader meets Omani delegation: Abdulsalam
[26/ December/2022]

SANA'A December 26. 2022 (Saba) - The head of the national delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, confirmed that the meetings of the Omani delegation with the leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, the Chief of Staff, Major General Mohamed Al-Ghummari, was fruitful and provided insights into the ideas put forward in the negotiations.

In a press statement Sunday evening, Abdulsalam explained that since the end of the truce, the national delegation has held intensive discussions with several parties, including meetings with the Saudi side and the United Nations in the Omani capital Muscat.

He warned that any economic measures targeting Yemen would turn the tables. The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman heard clear words from the revolution leader.

He said, "Our forces in the field imposed new rules of engagement, and the other side should recognize the fact that we have entered a new phase, and currently we have no commitment to the ceasefire, but there are respectful efforts by the delegation in Amman in parallel to discussing ideas for achieving progress."

The head of the national delegation added, "The humanitarian file, foremost of which is the payment of salaries in accordance with the 2014 oil and gas budget, remains our priority in the negotiations." He pointed out that oil and gas exports should go in the interest of paying salaries to all employees from all provinces without exception.

He also stressed that talk of a permanent ceasefire must be met with the lifting of a permanent blockade, the permanent disbursement of salaries and the exit of the occupier. "We cannot go to political dialogue in a complex and thorny environment and humanitarian and economic crises," he said.
