Omani delegation arrives in Sana'a

SANA'A December 21. 2022 (Saba) - A delegation from Oman arrived in Sana'a on Wednesday accompanied by head of national delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam.

During the several day visit, the Omani delegation will hold meetings with the national leadership over the latest developments in the country.

Abdulsalam stated that many meetings have been held with international, United Nations and Saudi delegations in Muscat since the end of the armistice.

He stressed that the visit of the Omani delegation aims to exchange ideas and proposals, resulted from the talks with the Saudi side and international parties, with the leadership in Sana'a in order to deal with the current situation.

Abdulsalam said that our demands are the legitimate and just rights of the Yemeni people, particularly the state employees' salary .

"We were flexible about entering into a sustainable or long truce that includes paying salaries to all state employees from oil and gas revenues according to the 2014 budget, holding talks lead to stopping the war, lifting the blockade and evacuating foreign forces from Yemen and then prepare for a political dialogue between Yemenis to reach a lasting political solution."

The head of the national delegation said that if we made a progress in the humanitarian file, we can then discuss the other files.

He said the aggression coalition has made promises but it has never fulfilled them.

Mohammed Abdulsalam praised the Oman's positive role and keenness to achieve peace in Yemen, saying that Oman has made a lot of efforts in support of the humanitarian file and the achievement of peace. "The repeated visits of the Omani delegation to Sana'a are a clear proof of their positive endeavors."
