TEHRAN DECEMBER 05.2022 (Saba) - The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani confirmed that the United States of America's indictment against Iran was a continuation of its wrong policies in support of the aggression against Yemen.
Kanani said in his weekly press conference on Monday, responding to a question about the alleged suspension of an Iranian vessel carrying some ammunition on its way to Yemen: "We have heard this allegation from news sources and it represents a repetition of unfounded allegations aimed at raising and exploiting political issues as a continuation of the subversive approach of the United States Administration as the main supporter of the aggression against Yemen ".
He added: "The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Yemen is clear and depends on the use of all its possibilities for peace, stability and security in Yemen, it believes that only the Yemeni people can decide their own destiny away from foreign interference. "
He continued: "Therefore, bringing charges against the Islamic Republic of Iran is the continuation of the same wrong policies of the United States Administration in support of aggression on Yemen, this department, which is responsible for the losses suffered by the Yemeni people, resorts to such accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran for omission."
On the part of the Iranians, Kanani said his country would not accept negotiations under pressure and threat and would not compromise and that's what Americans know. He stressed that the negotiations had their own logic and that Iran had committed itself to the Comprehensive Joint Plan of Action (the nuclear agreement) but the United States of America withdrew from the agreement.
Iran remained committed to the negotiation process and sought to resolve it, but would not negotiate on the basis of the need for negotiations.
The West's need for negotiation was nothing short of Iran's and the agreement was available and could be reached by the parties concerned in the shortest possible time.
And about the differing attitudes of Americans towards Iran. Kanani said: "Negotiations are not one of the priorities of the United States, they are focused on other issues ".
He pointed out that there was a contradiction in the statements of the Western parties involved in the nuclear agreement, particularly the United States Administration, which not only created an inappropriate path towards the Comprehensive Joint Plan of Action it prevented Iran from benefiting from the economic benefits of the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan, and in addition raised doubts towards multilateral international means of resolving complex issues.
He stressed: "America must take responsibility for what we are witnessing today because of its irresponsible actions.
He reaffirmed Iran's commitment to the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan and it was the United States Administration that violated the agreement and it is regrettable that the European States concerned with the Agreement failed to comply with their commitments and it could not compensate for the United States' unilateral and illegal withdrawal from the agreement.
Kanani recommended that the European parties concerned with the nuclear agreement should not surrender to America and the conditions imposed by it in order to prevent damage caused about these circumstances.
Answering about the question Palestinians' position on normalization with the Zionist enemy entity and the position of Sheikh Issa Kassem in this regard.. Kanani said: "Our position towards the Zionist entity is clear as well as the normalization process being carried out by American pressure in the region and in these circumstances, it is regrettable that some Arab and Islamic governments in the region have agreed to normalize political relations with the Zionist entity. "
He added: "We believe that the presence of the Zionist entity in the region will not bring security to any party and will not guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, and the Palestinian people rightly believe that the normalization of relations with the Zionist entity by some States in the region is a betrayal of the Palestinian cause, so the position of the peoples of the region is as clear as the Bahraini people announced these days and in conjunction with the visit of a Zionist official who refused to normalize relations with the Zionist entity".
Kanani continued: What we are witnessing in various sports arenas among fans as well as in the Qatar World Cup, which reflected a clear sight of the hostility of the nations of the region and the world to the Zionist entity, proves that the official normalization between the Zionist entity and some Governments in the region do not mean the acceptance of this entity by the peoples of the region but have increased people's hatred of the Zionist entity.
