HODEIDA December 03. 2022 (Saba) - Interior Minister , Major General Abdul Karim Amir al-Din al-Houthi, Transport Minister, Abdul Wahhab al-Durrah, the Fisheries Minister , Muhammad al-Zubairi, and Hodeida Governor, Muhammad Ayash Qahim, inaugurated a number of projects in the Coast Guard in Red Sea sector.
Interior Minister inaugurated the fishermen's services building of the Coast Guard in the Red Sea sector, which was established and equipped to meet the security and organizational services for fishermen, fishing boats and fish landing centers.
During his inspection of the technical and security readiness of the marine boats in the Coast Guard, which are designated for the tasks of securing the waterfront for ports, harbors and fishing anchors, the Minister of Interior inaugurated work on the comprehensive maritime security database, which aims to automate the security and service work of fishermen and fishing boats, in addition to the security and organizational services for commercial ships and ports.
Major General Abdul Karim Al-Houthi also launched the complaints service for fishermen and sea-goers on the free emergency number (196), which is designated to receive distress calls and complaints from fishermen and sea-goers.
