SCMCHA Secretary-General lays foundation stone & inaugurates 2 educational projects

HODEIDA December 02. 2022 (Saba) - The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation SCMCHA, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, laid the foundation stone for a project to construct and rehabilitate classrooms in Al-Durayhimi district, and opened a school in Al-Hawak district, at a cost of $597,000.

The project, for which the foundation stone was laid, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Southern Quadrant Affairs, Mutahar Al-Hadi, includes the construction of 3 classrooms and the rehabilitation of 34 classrooms with 24 public facilities in Muath, Khawla and Al-Wahda schools in Al-Durayhimi district at a cost of $497,000 funded by the Yaman Humanitarian Fund and implemented by the National Foundation.

The School of Culture was opened in Al-Manzhar City in Al-Hawak District, which was implemented by Save the Children Organization at a cost of $99,000.

SCMCHA Secretary-General was briefed on the progress of work on Al-Durayhimi Hospital rehabilitation project, which is being implemented by the Yaman Foundation.

He urged the Yaman Foundation to quickly complete the rehabilitation of the hospital to provide medical services to citizens.

SCMCHA Secretary-General listened to citizens explaining their needs, stressing keenness to provide humanitarian and shelter assistance to t displaced and affected people.
