SANA'A October 30.2022 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat was briefed on Sunday on the final preparations of the celebration for the third collective wedding in the capital Sana'a sponsored by the Zakat Authority to be held on Monday for over 10,000 grooms and brides.
President al-Mashat heard from the head of the General Authority for Zakat Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nastan an explanation of the technical equipment and efforts made by the Zakat Authority teams in charge of completing the preparations and arrangements to receive the grooms.
Al-Mashat explained that the largest collective wedding that the Zakat Authority attends comes in the context of major social treatments, including confronting the soft war.
President al-Mashat said, "I am proud of the Zakat Authority as it is one of the achievements of the September 21 revolution, and I tell them to move forward and we are with you to overcome all the difficulties you face in order to advance the work of the Authority."
He pointed out that the Zakat Authority should receive great attention and the necessary coverage in the media in return for its great achievements.
Abu Nashtan confirmed that the achievements and projects of the Zakat Authority came through the great support and attention of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council and its vigorous follow-up for the sake of the poor and needy throughout the provinces of the Republic, pointing out that the joy and goodness pervaded 10 thousand and 44 brides and grooms in a collective wedding, the largest in the region.
Abu Nashtan pointed out that the collective wedding is a message to the enemies that despite the pain and aches they tried to inflict on the Yemeni people, it is winning with a brave leadership that stands by the poor and needy.
