GAZA, 01 Oct. 2022 (Saba) - The Hamas Movement has said that the Jerusalem Intifada (uprising) is still alive in the souls and minds of the Palestinian people throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem.
In a statement on Saturday, Hamas spokesman Mohamed Hamadah said that “the epic acts of heroism and resistance in Jenin, Nablus and all the West Bank cities, villages and refugee camps and the scenes of steadfastness in the face of settler break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque are the best proof that the flame of such fervent spirit is strong and cannot be quenched unless Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque are liberated from the occupation."
“As the Palestinian people commemorate the seventh anniversary of the eternal Jerusalem Intifada — which was one of their struggle stages in defense of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque — the occupation state and its Zionist extremists continue to escalate their crimes and violations,” spokesman Hamadah added.
The spokesman mourned the martyrs of the Jerusalem Intifada, saying “their pure blood will remain a beacon that stokes the flame of the uprising and resistance against the occupation."
The Jerusalem Intifada broke out in October 2015 following multiple Israeli violations and crimes, including the burning alive of Dawabsheh family in Nablus by settlers.
