SANA'A, 30 Sep. 2022 (Saba) - The Deputy Minister of Water and Environment, Hanin al-Duraib, briefed Friday on the needs of Kamran Island in Hodeida province for water and sanitation.
The director of the local establishment in Hodeida province, Abdul Rahman Isaac, inspected the need and requirements of the desalination plants in Makram, Kamran village and the water tank tower to ensure the provision of water services to the island's citizens.
They heard an explanation from the Director of the Directorate, Abdul Kader Othman, of the Directorate's needs for water projects and water interventions in the water fields to alleviate citizens' suffering under aggression and blockade.
The Deputy Minister of Water confirmed the interest of the Ministry's leadership in Kamran Island's, pursuant to the directives of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi and president of the supreme political council.
The Ministry of Water and Environment is keen to implement water and sanitation projects on the island to meet citizens' drinking water needs.. He stressed the Ministry's direction to move to sustainable projects using solar energy.
