UNITED NATIONS, Sep. 28 (Saba) - Secretary-General António Guterres said nuclear weapons “offer no security — just carnage and chaos,” and their elimination “would be the greatest gift we could bestow on future generations.”
According to Xinhua agency, said Antonio Guterres "Without eliminating nuclear weapons, there can be no peace. There can be no trust. And there can be no sustainable future".
Guterres made the appeal at a UN General Assembly high-level meeting to commemorate and promote the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, which falls on Sept. 26.
