YEMAC: Aggression's mines, bombs kill citizen, injure 10 children

SANA'A, Sep. 24 (Saba) - The Yemen Executive Mine Action Center (YEMAC) on Saturday revealed the aggression's war explosive remnants caused 11 civilian victims in Hodeida and Bayda provinces.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center said that a citizen was killed by an explosion of a land mine planted by the aggression's forces in Noman district of Bayda province.

Meanwhile, 10 children were injured in Al-Jah area in Bayt al-Faqih district of Hodeida province by an explosion of a projectile from the explosive remnants dropped by the aggression's fighters.

YEMAC stressed that the victims of the hazardous aggression's war explosive remnants continue to be fallen on a daily basis in many provinces.

The center was denounced the disregard of the international and humanitarian organizations for the center's appeals to provide the necessary equipment and devices to clear the contaminated areas.

The statement pointed out that the UNDP informed the center that the aggression's countries have not agreed to provide the required equipment to carry out clearance operations.

The Center renewed the call for providing mine detectors and the necessary supplies for the center to be capable of carrying out its activities to clear mines and cluster bombs to save thousands lives of children and women in the contaminated areas and provinces.
