SANA'A, Jul. 27 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, met on Wednesday with Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Mutahar.
The meeting discussed the plans and activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in controlling and supervising the supply situation, controlling prices, and protecting citizens from any exploitation.
President al-Mashat urged attention to providing basic commodities to citizens, which would contribute to alleviating their suffering as a result of the conditions imposed by the aggression and siege.
Al-Mashat instructed the ministry to carry out continuous field visits to control the prices of goods in the markets and prevent tampering with them, in addition to focusing on controlling the quality of goods and aspects related to consumer protection.
He stressed the importance of the ministry’s role in enhancing the stability of the supply situation for food commodities in local markets, and setting policies to protect the consumer and prevent commercial fraud and monopoly, in addition to its role in promoting the industrial sector and encouraging local products.
