Antiquities Authority: More than 28 Islamic monuments destroyed by Takfiris

SANA'A, July 12 (Saba) - The General Authority for Antiquities, Museums and Manuscripts revealed, that the Takfiris destroyed more than 28 Islamic monuments in several provinces, most recently al-Nour Mosque in Qataba area in Kukah district of Hodeida province.

The Authority explained in a statement received Saba a copy of it, that the archaeological mosque of Al-Nour, which was destroyed by Takfiris, was built by the Holy King Muzaffar in 672 Hijri and renovated during the Ottoman Empire.

The statement stressed that the countries of aggression and their tools not only destroyed archaeological, Islamic and historical sites and monuments, but also stole, smuggled and sold Yemeni antiquities in international auctions and markets.
