SANA'A, Jul.04 (Saba) - The Undersecretary of Agriculture Ministry for the Agricultural Services Sector, Daifallah Shamlan, stressed the importance of investing in the production and marketing of local grapes, to raise and improve its quality and enable it to compete in a very large way for the external product.
Shamlan considered, during his presence on Monday in Sana'a, the opening of Grape Origin Company, which is specialized in local grapes production and marketing and its products, as a good step in marketing grapes in a modern and organized way.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration, Ammar Al-Hareb, referred to private sector role in development and the necessary studies and research to address the obstacles facing agriculture, including the cultivation of Yemeni grapes, and everything that would promote this economic product.
In turn, the Deputy Director of the Marketing and Agricultural Trade Department at Agriculture Ministry, Ali Al-Harib, noted private sector interest in aspects of agricultural work.
The CEO of the Origin of the Grapes Company, Ali Jarallah, in turn confirmed the company's commitment to work to support and encourage grape cultivation.
The opening was attended by the Executive Director of Bonyan Developmental Foundation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Madani.
