TEHRAN, July. 02 (Saba) - The three earthquakes that hit scattered areas in the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan killed at least 5 people and injured 19 others, according to Governor-General of Hormozgan Province Mehdi Dousti.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Dousti in a press release on Saturday morning as saying: "The strong earthquakes of 6.1, 6.3 Richter and dozens of seismic aftershocks have killed 5 people and injured 19 so far in the villages of Khmer Port."
“The majority of the damage occurred in the village of Sayeh Khoush, most of whose houses were destroyed by the earthquakes.” He added.
Three earthquakes with a magnitude of 6.1, 6.1 and 6.3 (on the Richter scale) struck areas of Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, at Saturday dawn.
