[02/ July/2022]
HODEIDA, July 01 (Saba) - Red Sea General Fisheries Authority condemned the forced displacement of Abd al-Kuri Island's residents by the aggression coalition countries.

In a statement received by Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the commission explained that the people displacement of Yemeni island is a militarizing prelude and turning it into an Emirati military base subject to the American-Zionist project.

The statement held the UN Security Council, the United Nations and its humanitarian and human rights organizations responsible for what is happening on Abd al-Kuri Island, which is one of the most important islands of Socotra archipelago.

The statement appealed to UNESCO and environmental protection organizations to carry out their duties regarding the destruction of the natural and marine environment on Socotra Island, and rare trees looting, included on the World Heritage List.

He demanded the exit of the aggression forces coalition from all Yemeni lands, islands and coasts and the forcible displacement of the population and an attempt to erase their Yemeni identity.

He affirmed Yemen's legal right to pursue and prosecute the aggression coalition countries and restore the usurped right.
