Interventions of ZOA in humanitarian field in Hajjah discussed

HAJJAH, Jun. 28 (Saba) - The Director of the Branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah province Allan Fadhael, discussed on Tuesday with the country director in Yemen of the humanitarian partner (ZOA) Catherine Hans, the humanitarian interventions in Hajjah.

The meeting, which included program directors in "ZOA" Ammar al-Asadi and in Hajjah Tawfiq al-Ghurbani's office, reviewed ways to expand the intervention to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the displaced and those affected by the aggression.

It touched on the human suffering, which burdened the people of the province, especially after the World Food Program's decision to reduce the food ration and the size of the great need, on which the increase in interventions to alleviate suffering of the people in the province.

In the meeting, Fadhael referred to the efforts of the humanitarian partner in Hajjah office in implementing projects to support livelihoods, water, environmental sanitation and health, and the need to support it with the necessary grants to cover the need and expand in other districts.

He pointed to the role of ZOA in creating the appropriate conditions for the return of the displaced to their homes, as well as rehabilitating local partners, supporting them with the necessary projects, advocating the return of the food program's share to what it was since the beginning of the aggression.

In turn, Hans emphasized that the purpose of the visit came to review the implemented projects to ascertain the extent to which they relate to people's concerns and suffering, and to work on assessing the need and advocacy work required to provide grants.
