SANA'A, Jun. 27 (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Rashid Abu Lahoum on Sunday briefed on maintenance and restoration work at the western entrance to the capital Sana'a in al-Masajid area.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and the Minister of Finance stressed the importance of strict implementation in accordance with the approved standards to ensure the quality and sustainability of the work carried out.
He stressed the need to expedite the completion of the restoration work and the asphalt before the start of the rainy season.
The Deputy Prime Minister from the heads of the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al Haifi, and the State Foundation for Roads and Bridges, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadhrami, heard an explanation of the six kilometres of maintenance and restoration work.
Al-Haifi and al-Hadrami noted that maintenance and restoration include restoration and rehabilitation parts as well as asphalt works for some affected parts. The maintenance and restoration work is carried out by the State Corporation for Roads with joint funding from the Capital Secretariat, Sana 'a Governorate and the Road Maintenance Fund.
