[24/ June/2022]

HODEIDA, June 24 (Saba) - A citizen in Alhali district of Hodeida province, was seriously injured by an explosion of a mine left behind by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.

The Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre (YEMAC) said in a statement, received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the citizen, Tariq Muhammad al-Sufi, 22, was injured in the explosion while passing on 50th Street in Alhali district.

Al-Sufi was taken to a hospital in Hodeida city.

The number of the casualties by the explosions of the aggression's remnants of mines and cluster bombs in Hodeida province has increased significantly since the beginning of this year. The reason behind the casualty increasing is not allowing the entry of the necessary equipment to cleanse the affected areas, according to the statement.
