[06/ June/2022]

SANA'A, Jun. 06 (Saba) - The Chairman of the Special Military Committee to discuss violations of the United Nations truce monitor the ceasefire and open roads, General Yahya Abdullah al-Razzami, confirmed on Monday that what the enemy has been unable to achieve in more than seven years of aggression, siege, and criminality against the Yemeni people, will not be obtained by negotiations or any other means.

During the first day of the second round of negotiations sponsored by the United Nations in the Jordanian capital, Amman, General al-Razzami deplored the statements made by the enemy media in the words of the participants in the negotiations from the other side claiming that they were obstructing the national side of the negotiations in Jordan.

"The national party has put forward a serious initiative to open three roads in the province of Taiz with the aim of ending the suffering of the citizens of the province and facilitating their movement and vehicles smoothly, while the other side does not respond explicitly to this initiative, which places many questions about the intention and objectives of the other side of the ongoing negotiations."

General al-Razzami also confirmed the national side's readiness to implement its unilateral initiative, with a view to advancing the negotiations. The representatives of the United Nations called upon the committee to go to the governorate of Taiz and observe the reality to establish the seriousness of the national side and to know who was obstructing the opening of humanitarian access.

He reaffirmed the national aspect's desire to alleviate the suffering of the sons of Taiz and all the sons of the nation.

He pointed out that the ball is in the other side's court, which must recognize the human responsibility towards the Yemeni people, who suffered and continue to suffer from the siege and unjust aggression.
