[26/ May/2022]

HODEIDA, May 26(Saba) - The Executive Center for Mine Action has destroyed more than 500 war objects left by the aggression and its mercenaries in the Hodeida province.

In the presence of Deputy Chief of General Staff, Head of the National Redeployment Team Maj. Gen. Ali al-Mushki and Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA), Gen. Michael Perry, the destruction included nearly 500 mines and war objects left by the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries in the areas of southern Hodeida.

Center head Brig. Ali Safra explained that the destruction process included cluster bombs and mines that contaminated the outskirts of the city of Hodeida and the southern districts, which were cleared during the first quarter of 2022.

He pointed out that despite the scarcity of capabilities, the aggression prevented the entry of the center's equipment as the United Nations repudiated its humanitarian obligations in this regard, the center fulfilled its humanitarian duty with the minimum available capabilities.
